So My New Endeavor...
My latest thing is to sew... yeah the world is coming to an end because I'm attempting to be crafty... I know shocking. But I have thought of some stuff that I would like to give a try because I go to the store and stuff costs so much MONEY!!! Why world? Why? Shouldn't I be able to have cute little clothes and accessories. Okay so my clothes at the moment are not what one would call LITTLE, but we'll get there people, one day... But I want to be cute, and have cute accessories. What girl doesn't, honestly.. so anyways, I go to the store and find these cute things like say a scarf or say a cute little hair flower and/or accessory a cute sweater maybe? and while I'm "shopping" (more like wishfully thinking) I'm looking at these pieces and looking at the construction, because that's what I do because if I'm paying over 5 dollars for it I want it to last, and I start thinking to myself how hard would it be to MAKE my own cute clothes like this? And really I'm not a huge fan of the sewing machine which is why this post is such a big deal for me because I've been to my mom's house every day this last week because I've wanted to actually use the sewing machine. I haven't actually technically MADE anything yet, other than Mercedes' AWESOME skirt for the temple sealing, but I've come up with some pretty awesome ideas, especially if my sisters want to give it a try too and post about it on our family blog www.cookinnbookin.blogspot.com. I've also come up with making grocery bags because I've found some cute patterns online for reusable grocery bags that are specific to whatever is in your cart, because I'm all about being green (eyeroll here). But I'm still doing nails and hair, so if anybody (now that school has started up again) needs nails or a new do for a school dance maybe, I'm still doing all of that for 10$ a piece. But also if anybody sees anything that I'll hopefully make and post up here on the blog, and wants one made I'll do that for 10$ too! The only thing about that is that I'm using up my mom's scrap fabric storage because it's taking up WAY too much room in her house, so none of them will be the same but you'll have something made especially for YOU! Wouldn't that be cool? Oh I also want a tea pot with cups and saucers for use when the blog clan gets together then we can have fruit tea and scones. I know it's totally nerdy but I'm in love with the idea so i'm currently scouring the DI for teapots or full sets.

I saw a sweater similar to the one in the picture, except it didn't have sleeves. When I took a closer look, I found it was nothing more than a knitted rectangle with armholes! Crazy!
